Lake County Environmental Law Task Force
This Task Force was formed to focus on the enforcement of environmental
laws pertaining to Brownfield properties and those properties where
hazardous materials have been illegally disposed.
The targets of this Task Force are individuals and companies that
cause contamination, owned properties where contamination exists and
any companies involved in the disposal and/or transportation of contaminants.
Lake County Ordinance #1264A provides the Sheriff the authority to
investigate and remediate contaminated properties in Lake County.
